Kom je ook? Op maandag 2 november beginnen we de Klimaatweek met een filmavond over de bodem, het water en de toekomst van onze leefomgeving. De avond heeft een internationaal karakter, de voertaal is voornamelijk Engels.

Voedselpark Amsterdam invites you to a film night exploring soil, water and climate justice. Through three short films, we connect the struggle to protect the fertile Lutkemeerpolder with global movements for a healthy and sustainable future. Join artists, researchers and activists for a conversation, followed by drinks and snacks from the Lutkemeerpolder.

The Lutkemeerpolder is a place where many things come together: fertile soil, food, nature and the question of how we want to treat our living environment. But these issues are not unique to Amsterdam. Around the world, people are working to protect their land, keep water clean and create a future in which people and nature can thrive.
During this evening, we will watch three short films.

One is In The River Score: A Polyphonic Gathering. Researcher and artist Carolina Cuevas Parra brings together activists from Ecuador and Colombia with people and places along the river Maas and the Lutkemeerpolder.

Voedselpark Amsterdam is part of JUST ART, a project that brings together artists, researchers, activists and communities. Through art and creative research, the project explores new ways to put climate justice into practice. Researcher Aldo Ramos, who is involved in the project, will also be joining us for this evening.

After the screenings, we will join Carolina, researcher Aldo Ramos and other participants for a conversation. What can we learn from one another? And how can we strengthen each other’s efforts?

Stay a little longer after the event. There will be snacks and drinks from the Lutkemeerpolder, as well as time to meet and connect with one another.
